A brief history of Wanneroo Districts Cricket Club Inc.

WDCC was formed by the amalgamation of Warwick and Greenwood Suburban Turf Cricket Clubs in April of 1976. Wanneroo fielded teams into the WACA competition for the first time in 1978/79 and boasted an under 16’s, under 14’s and an under 12’s team.

In the following year WDCC entered the senior competition with two second grade teams and two fourth grade teams. In 1980/81 teams were entered into the Sunday League competition and in 1982 approval was given for the club to field its first ‘A’ grade side for the 1983/84 season.

Since then, in season 2010/11, the Wanneroo Districts Cricket Club proudly competes in all four WACA grades, and currently has four junior teams.

The WDCC ‘nickname' is ‘The Roos.”

The club colours are red and green. The dominant colour is red with the green kangaroo on all playing caps.
