1st Grade Debutant: Stuart Thompson

190. Stuart Thompson

Stuart Thompson has joined the mighty Roos for the 1st half of the 2018-19 season, and made his 1st Grade debut for the Roos on Sat 13th October vs. Claremont-Nedlands.  Stuart made 54 off 56 balls.

A man who needs no introduction, Stuart comes to the Roos having represented Ireland in all formats of the game.  His salad is ordinary but his beard is ferocious.

Welcome Stuart!

Weekend Wrap

3rd Grade were the lone winners on a rainy weekend, which saw three games abandoned after Sunday hosing.

WDCC vs. Claremont-Nedlands

1st & 2nd Grade went down fighting, whilst 3rd Grade were treated to a triumphant Slattery-fest.  The 4th Grade fixture will be played in November due to ground shortages.  The 17s and 15s games were called off due to the downpour on Sunday.

Fantasy Round 1 Wrap

Morning Fantasy Players.

Firstly, we’ve done it! This is the first year we have hit 50 players in the WDCC Fantasy. Congratulations and well done to everyone involved for getting involved! For anyone yet to make a team, its not too late. Head on over to https://wanneroo-districts.fantasyclubcricket.co.uk/ to have a look, sign up and start selecting your team.
With these numbers round prizes will remain as they were last year (your choice of $40 cash or a $50 bar card), but there will be more in the kitty for the end of season prizes.

Thankyou also to the 14 people that have so far paid. Those that paid prior to the game Saturday have been given their bonus 100 points.

Now for results. Round 1 has wrapped up and Andy ‘Coaches the Future’ Billington has come out hard from the gate! In a masterstroke, AB decided (accidentally) on using the Triple Point Captain play straight up (accidentally) on Travis Birt, who collected a round-topping 108 points. In what could be seen as slightly suspicious Deon ‘the younger Billington’ Billington ended up in 2nd place.

2) Sheeda’s / Dylan Banks – 661 (with 100 bonus points)
