Wanneroo DCC had a fantastic weekend, almost achieving the elusive King Sweep (wins in all Grades, both Juniors and Seniors).
Speaking of Kings, Jordan King made 72 in 1st Grade, supported by fellow Next-Genners Tristan Hobley (50) and Bailey Nylander (62). 2nd Grade achieved a rare outright victory, thanks to outstanding bowling performances by Donnavinn Fryer (8 wickets for the match), Leigh Millar (5), and pretty much all the bowlers who trucked hard in the hot conditions.
Third Grade rolled Mt Lawley to win by more than a hundred, with Dylan Banks taking six wickets and Connor Smith taking two wickets to back up his half century last weekend. Fourth Grade fought valiantly but couldn’t defend their score of 148.
The 17s were treated to a run-scoring exhibition by Connor Thorn, who scored 113 not out in a comfortable win. The 15s won by 20 runs with Jared Maunder taking five wickets.
