Congratulations to our Women’s team on beating Midland-Guildford yesterday at Kingsway!
Our 13s & 14s also tasted sweet victory over the Centurions.
Seniors
Our Seniors are half-way through a two day game against Willetton.
1st Grade are in the strong position of 1/46 chasing Willetton’s 158.
2nd Grade struggled with the bat but are cautiously optimistic of blasting Willetton out on Saturday.
3rd Grade are looking good at 3/91 chasing 123.
4th Grade are 1/31 chasing 154.
Women
Having won the toss and electing to field we immediately applied pressure nicking an early wicket and reducing Midland’s flow of runs with positive ground fielding and fantastic catching; Emilie Nicholls taking 2.
Wickets were shared among Shayna, Emilie, Kristin, Danni and Ella with 2 run outs reducing Midland to 90/7.
Our innings was again technically impressive, building nicely with both Tene Crafford (16) and Shayna Jesani (26) putting on 63 for the first wicket. With wickets in hand we began to change gears resulting in losing a further 2 wickets before Ella Stewart and Emma Wilson guided us home with an over to spare.
Juniors
Our 17s will be chasing 168 this weekend, whilst our 15s have set Willetton 174 for victory.
Batting first at Iluka, the U14s Centurions managed 5/170. In reply, our young Roos amassed 229 with Dylan Cordior scoring a fine 107, supported by Kane Pearce (64*).
Our 13s were too strong for the Centurions, dismissing them for 92 after scoring 8/139. Ben Campagni was a standout with 3/4.
