Fantasy Cricket Update
From the Desk of the Minister for Fantasy Cricket:
Hello Players,
Due to some technical problems with Mycricket and the A-grade scores I couldn’t provide an update last week. All fixed, so here we are now with an update for Fantasy Round 7 (Midland Guildford and University) and Fantasy Round 8 (South Perth).
The big news is that Funky Millar has been dethroned from the top of the ladder by none other than the timeless Jason Parry. Jason was also our weekly winner from the double header last weekend, edging out Jacob Johnson by 5 points (sorry Fos, I know how excited you were!) The biggest player contributors were Rob Richards (193) and Daniel Lawrence (178) who both notched up tons and took some poles.
The Round 8 winner was (for the 2nd time) Nathan Henry, due mainly to his outstanding selection of Aaron Brunner who scored his second ‘chanceless’ century of the season. Too bad he couldn’t select a winning team though, Aaron is currently holding up the table sitting as leader and favourite for the soupy wooden spoon.
On a final note I have heard from around the club that some players have forgotten their teams and do not know how to check.
Easier done than said, get yourself over to the mycricket website, hover your mouse over ‘About’ and Fantasy League should be the bottom option that drops down. From there you can check teams and see who hasn’t paid (Connor Smith, Greg Maher, Jacob Bonner, Emile van der Merwe, Donavinn Fryer and Aaron Brunner!!).
See below for current ladder and rounds 7 and 8 top tens.
Cheers,
Minister for Fantasy

Australia Day and Training
Due to Australia Day falling on Thursday 26th Jan, training for that week for Seniors will be as follows:
– Tuesday 24th Jan: 5pm (as per normal);
– Wednesday 25th Jan: 5.30pm fielding, 6.15pm nets;
– Thursday 26th Jan: No training
Junior training on Tue & Wed is unchanged.
Weekend Wrap
It was a weekend of mixed results for the Mighty Roos. If Seniors were to be described as a sandwich, then 2s & 3s would be tasty fillings between stale 1s & 4s bread.
The highlight of the round was undoubtedly Aaron Brunner’s 109 in 2nd Grade, setting Kingsway 1 alight. Alex Buron (42), John Walter (4/24), Dan Peters (53) and Tim Bond (44*) were also strong contributors.
The Colts suffered a top order collapse and couldn’t recover, despite a fighty 80 from Bailey Nylander.
The Juniors were dominant in both 17s & 15s. Callum Douglas (84*), Connor Thorn (60*), Bailey Richards (4/26) were standout performers.
